John Tripp – Partner

Founding partner with 40 years of experience in accounting, John has traditionally divided his time between consulting with some of the Bay Area’s top technology companies, and providing tax planning & preparation services to individual, partnership and trust clients.

John started his career with Coopers & Lybrand, and worked in the corporate sector at Memorex before co-founding Blum & Tripp.

Eric Blum – Partner

Eric co-founded Blum & Tripp in 1978 with John after meeting him at Coopers & Lybrand. Prior to going into accounting, Eric was an officer in the U.S. Navy.

In the 1980s, while actively practicing as a CPA, Eric found the time to attend Santa Clara University and obtained a law degree. As a CPA and attorney (Bar # 132045), Eric offers years of accounting experience and the benefit of privilege. He is also on the Lawyer Referral Service panel (tax) for San Mateo County.

Tracy Tripp – Partner

Tracy started working for Blum & Tripp in high school.  Through her father’s guidance she got interested in tax accounting and has since gone on to get her masters in taxation from San Jose State. After getting her MST, Tracy worked in the core tax, venture capital and specialty tax groups for PwC in San Jose. Tracy specializes in individual, corporate and partnership tax compliance and preparation of corporate provisions.

Since leaving PwC, Tracy has been at Blum & Tripp. Starting in 2015, she is officially a partner and is focused on keeping Blum & Tripp a strong accounting practice for years to come.

Amanda Warner – Enrolled Agent

Amanda has been with Blum & Tripp for 20+ years. She provides excellent tax and audit support and is our office Quickbooks expert.

Prior to working for Blum & Tripp, Amanda worked as a comptroller for a electronics company and managed inventory for a seafood importer. In addition to working for Blum & Tripp, Amanda is the Secretary for the California Wildlife Officers Foundation, and on the management team for the Los Gatos bio start-up Pyranose Biotherapeutics.
